The History of Ring 58

Ring 58 is located in Knoxville, Tennessee and serves the needs of magicians throughout the East Tennessee area. We meet on the 4th Thursday of each month.

This Ring was reactivated in the early 1970’s after a period of 10 or more years of inactivity. One of the first acts of the newly reorganized ring was to host the Southeastern Association of Magicians [SEAM] convention which had also fallen on “hard times”. This rejuvenated and re-inspired other rings in the southeast to continue the process. The SEAM is now a regular convention in the Southeastern US.

The next step was the starting of the Winter Carnival of Magic in 1973 and this was a success from the beginning. There are several reasons this is so. The primary reason is that the convention has been a high quality production from the start, featuring top name performers for all shows and lectures. The entire convention format is a family oriented production. All ages, sexes, and interests are welcomed.

If you are in the Knoxville area we welcome your attendance at our meetings! – We hope you will perform for us during your visit!
