\nParlor Contest 2025<\/h2>\n

Contest time: 12:30 \u2013 3 PM. (Friday March 7th<\/sup>, 2025)
\nMaximum number of contestants = 15.
\nSuggested time is between 5 and 8 minutes.
\nThe time limit is 9 minutes after 9 minutes you will be disqualified.<\/p>\n

Before the contest we will set the order of the contestants. We will draw random numbers to set the 1,2,3…15 order.<\/p>\n

Contest Scoring \u2013 Directions to Contestants<\/strong><\/p>\n

How the Scoring Sheets<\/a> Will Be Used:<\/p>\n

      1. The score sheets are used by the judges to determine quantitatively how each contestant performed. The actual scoring process will be reviewed prior to the beginning of the contest.<\/li>\n
      2. In the event of a tie, the judges will be asked to determine the final ranking.<\/li>\n
      3. The score sheets will be given to the contestants upon completion of the contest. Judges are asked to provide constructive feedback on each of the areas of performance.<\/li>\n
      4. The judges will not be announced (or known) to the contestants and\/or audience.<\/li>\n
      5. The entry fee for the contest is $10 (cash or check only) per act and collected prior to the contest on Friday March 7th<\/sup> at 9:30 AM at the mandatory<\/em><\/strong> contestant meeting where we will go over the rules.<\/li>\n
      6. The prize for 1st place is $500; 2nd<\/sup> Place is a trophy & People\u2019s choice is $250… there is no monetary prize for 2nd<\/sup> place or lower.<\/li>\n
      7. There must be at least five entries into the contest for a monetary prize to be awarded.<\/li>\n
      8. If contestants don\u2019t show up by 12:15pm EST on Friday March 7th, they will be disqualified & they will lose their $10 fee.<\/li>\n
      9. If contestant fee of $10 (CASH ONLY or CHECK ONLY) is not paid by the 9:30 AM mandatory meeting on Friday, March 7 they will be disqualified.<\/li>\n

      11. Eligibility Requirements: contestants must:\n

        1. Register for the convention. This must be a full, paid (Magician) registration.<\/li>\n
        2. No paid performer is eligible to compete.<\/li>\n
        3. No IBM Ring 58 member is eligible to compete.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
