2010 Winter Carnival of Magic

The final official day of Winter Carnival started with the stage competition. There were a total of 12 competitors in the competition. The performers and a short description of what they performed are listed below:

• Andrew Hyder - Silk and dove productions, sawing a dove in half
• Reed Wooten - Quick Change, animated silk, dove productions
• Matthew Maxwell Myers - Bill production, cig magic, jewel production
• Erik Sterling - Eye Doctor routine
• Ricky Boone - 3-card Monte
• Robert Sode - Dove Production, Torn\Restored Newspaper
• Landon Roberson - Dollar Bill to Pickel
• David Goodson (Hot Rod) - Silk production routine
• Richard Jones - Rose production, floating table
• Wayne Clemons - Jumbo Candy Production
• Lion Fludd - Color changing rose routine
• Ali and Kate - Linking Rings, Metamorphisis

After the stage competition, Robert Bengel took the stage for a lecture involving several card tricks. He demonstrated and gave performance instructions for several effects including a lie detector, a 1-card 4-coin matrix, and "collectors".

After the Bengel lecture, Keith Fields entertained guests with his chop cup routine. It was an extremely entertaining routine and unless you were there, you may never figure out how he ended up with a coconut and a pineapple for the final loads! He also explained and demonstrated several other effects including "Money Money Money", a book test, psychic hangman, and an extremely smooth paddle routine. Fields ended his lecture with a truly unique effect called the human xylophone.
