How Did you first become interested in Magic?
In the 10th grade, Akal Singh first discovered his soon-to-be favorite public school distraction - Magic. From repeatedly dropping coins and having cards confiscated in class, Akal has recently graduated college. Because of his wise choice of areas of study, namely Anthropology and Religious Studies, he has emerged from the four and a half year rite of passage as someone whose most marketable skill is performing magic. (And that doesn't say much for the utility of a liberal arts degree these days.... although it does make for a great reservoir of B.S. to turn into patter.)

Misc:
Originally a self-appointed coin purest, to the exclusion of all other kinds of magic, his repertoire has broadened to include basically anything that is good magic and relatively impromptu. Though still aesthetically attracted to the raw manipulation of ungimmicked materials such as coins, cards, rings, flowers, etc., he has compromised hi purist approach to magic conceding the reality that the spectators mind is the final court of appeal in which what constitutes "good and bad magic" is determined. To date, Akal Singh has created, written, and integrated into his repertoire a number of original tricks including "A Bic way to Sharpen up" and" J.F.Khaotic."

As a Sikh, libertarian, magician, and student of the world, Akal Singh spends most of his time between reading about philosophy, history, politics, and world affairs, practicing and creating magic, searching for magic gigs at restaurants in town, working a real job enough to get some bills paid, and, last but not least, stroking his beard to make it longer.
