This Ring was reactivated in the early 1970's after a period of 10 or more years of inactivity. One of the first acts of the newly reorganized ring was to host the Southeastern Association of Magicians [SEAM] convention which had also fallen on "hard times". This rejuvenated and re-inspired other rings in the southeast to continue the process. The SEAM is now a regular convention in the Southeastern US.

The next step was the starting of the Winter Carnival of Magic in 1973 and this was a success from the beginning. There are several reasons this is so. The primary reason is that the convention has been a high quality production from the start, featuring top name performers for all shows and lectures. The entire convention format is a family oriented production. All ages, sexes, and interests are welcomed.

If you are in the Knoxville area we welcome your attendance at our meetings! - We hope you will perform for us during your visit! -
